how many times would you stop for a broken down car (none) would you stop for a biker in the same situation??????

Well the times they are a changing mate
Doesn't mean you can't still enjoy yourself though
I have been going to these things for well over 20yrs now and yes they've changed but I always meet like minded people and still have fun and feel part of something
Yes there's a new type of biker attending these days but it should be encouraged by us all especially the younger generation otherwise when we fade away so will these events

Every time, but personally I would stop for a broken down car as well. If I can help great, if not at least I tried.

You are so right, society has changed so much. But for every person out there who is out for number 1, there is someone who is decent , caring & considerate. All one has to do is find them! One of the reasons I left the teaching profession, Parents thinking their kids could do no wrong. Erosion of respect to all in society. A disease I'm afraid.:cold_sweat:

Nothing wrong with old school mate and it's still there but not on the scale it used to be
Cos of license restrictions, costs, trends etc young people find other things to do these days
When I was young me and my mates all had bikes and were never off them meeting with other groups from surrounding areas but working lives, families etc meant that now I don't know anyone from those days and when I do bump into someone from the past they are shocked to know that I'm still riding.....ok not as much as I'd like to but I try my best and still get a kick out of it.....long may it continue

As a youngster I went to boarding school from 8 yrs through to 18. We were one big family & looked out for each other. There were 3 categories. The academics, those who played sport & those who rode motorcycles. I still have the pleasure of meeting up with friends from 2 & 3 even after 40 years

We have absolutely no idea of the sacrifices you & others have made & the long term baggage that you guys have to carry around with you.My Father was in the Royal Navy so I do have a very limited experience of the regimented one size fits all ideology adopted by the armed forces. As important as this is may I suggest that unless you are totally comfortable putting this out there, for everybody to read, that we communicate with regards to this subject directly on the personal profile section. (We appear to have become detached from the forum i.e. Bikes)
