Definitely next year 2018. Then hopefully as many years thereafter as we can all manage.
We still need some more suggestions for a destination.

Koblenz south On route 9 following Rhine, very pretty, then onto B48 great road goes on for about 150Km. May be too far south for some, could loop back through Vosges Mountains?

Know someone who has been to Germany for the last couple of years for his bike holiday, got fed up with the wet weather and is heading South into France this year in hope of better weather. :)

Formule 1 is right across Europe, here's a link to the French section :

    http://www.hotelf1.com/gb/home/index.shtml

Usually about 35€ for a room that sleeps three peeps.

Been to Germany this year with the wife (in the car), no rain, temp 32/33 C. The morning we left Freiburg the forecasted high was 37c. Unseasonally high but that's pot luck. It's got to be drier than rainy city where I live.

Well I guess a tour of Germany, the Austrian Alps, the South of France, BigLad's Limousin lakes and the Millau Bridge is a bit much to fit into SmilinJacks five days. Are we prepared to agree on a compromise or is this a non starter ?
I would go to any of the above places and I have the time. How long do people want to be away for ? I'm thinking maybe we don't all have to do the whole trip.
How far do people want to ride ? Do you want a base with ride outs or do you want to tour round ?

I would have thought Limousin is not too far, it's only a days ride.

Not recently so can't comment fully. I've avoided Switzerland as it's anti vehicle and rode round it instead. I've done it twice and the scenery is overwhelming. The plus side of a base is riding light everyday.

I recently contacted Stejo and asked about his offer of somewhere to stay in Brittany, here's his reply :-
hi bud .I'm not a holiday let my family own the place and use it as a holiday home.I am self employed so with a little organisation can go anytime.the house has three double bedrooms and the gite has one double room .the barn can sleep at least ten but doesnt have a bathroom so folk would have to use main house which has two bathrooms.and obviously the field can sleep a hundred lol.if alot of us are going i will take the van as a support vehicle to take food and my bike .regards steve

Happy to do France, as in Brittany. Also Happy to go further afield, not restricted by number of days away. Has any body ridden Route Napolean from Grenoble to Nice,
Absolutely brilliant but an awful long way. Germany equally good, quite a few options on routes & accom ( do not really want to camp but will go along with the concensus of opinion), would suggest 5 days, accom budget of say €250. (Not per night by the way)
