There seems to be quite a lot of interest in a forum international trip but discussion is sporadic over several different threads. Can we bring it together here ?
I am willing to be a joint organiser if someone else will partake.
Can we start by finding out who is interested ? Can you just add your name below :-

Ok, so far so good. Now where do we want to go ?
My choice would be Eiffel/Moselle Valley but I'm happy to go with the majority decision. As for when, I'm retired so I can go anytime. I'd prefer hotels.

Gazwhitespeed,i'd like to see the Millau bridge/carcasonne but anywhere with like minded people would be an adventure.

Agree, Milan too far & roads pretty boring. I would be up for any trip down the German / France borders. Defo hotels / B&B for me. Also retired so would be happy to assist with any organisation.
Criteria: When / Where / How long / How many / Budget

Had a trip through Belgium, Germany this summer. Night one, stayed at a lovely B&B, Feuerhart in Feuersheid approx 40 km from Trier, about 4-5 hrs ride from Calais. It is well positioned for Motorway. Has a separate annexe which we had, sleeps 3, remainder of building sleeps 12 I think. Owners cooked us a lovely meal the evening we arrived (xtra charge) breakfast was usual continental fare. Honesty Bar, sensibly priced, good beers & wines. Have a look on Booking.Com. Just putting it out there for interested parties to look at
