Ok just got off main roads and bumbling through the Yorkshire dales, jeez there's a lot of cyclists, my trip was almost cut short when coming round the bend I happened upon 2 cycling 2 a breast and managed to clip one with my panier! I stopped short of the hedge and grazed a hand! Lucky I was only doing about 10 mph

Then a stop at the 59 cafe for a sarnie. Next stop the Lake District

ok left Lockerbie this morning and took my chances down at mr o's. Knew I was safe cos there was a couple of witnesses, ok both under 3 but I'm sure their testimony would have stood up on court! So lulled into a false sense of security I told big Ron which route I'd planned to go on, the eyebrows furrowed and a dark look cane into his eyes " you"ll naw be takin that route, wee laddy" grumbled from 10 metres below sea level " aye'v got a belter of a wee ride, ye'll nae be takin the high rood but the low rood the noo!"
What could I say, I knew there'd be less witnesses on the low road as the high road gets there before you and everyone's in a rush nowadays, but I had to say yes! So we start our engines and the big O asks if I want to lead., heh heh! I know your game!!
"No no ! " says I in my meekest southern accent " you lead the way dear boy, local knowledge etc! What what!" To my surprise he did and he led me at speed through some fantastic roads and scenery!
Big thanks mr O for not chopping me up, I'll be for ever grateful for that!
Notice in the photo the look of relief on my face, as I get another witness to take the photographic evidence that we were together on the date in case I disappeared!!

Good wee run the day. Glad you made it to Helensburgh in one piece! :dizzy:

You really don't know how often you need 10m2 of polythene, a set of kitchen knives and a shovel!!!:cool:

Even the weather is conspiring to help MrO, wee bit of rain to soften the ground :)
Looking good on that beastie crispy, just ride over the cyclists next time. Remember when doing this get up on your legs no sitting in the seat. Helps with your control of of the bike when riding on top of them :)
Looking forward to our outing from Dumfries tomorrow.
Lights are on the bike, new sat nav power cable ( little so and so broke the other day just at the connector)
New seat bolts on as one went walkies , being honest I don't think the right ones were on it before, they were very short and a different size head.
Just need to pack and decide which tools just in case to carry.
Mini compressor and plug and go for tubeless tyres is a definate along with cable ties.
