Left Waterford this morning in the pouring rain! It has never stopped all day; still some great roads. Stopped in Cork for a wander and a coffee, place was buzzing. Also stopped in a little town on the coast.

    Forgot to answer your question,
He quite likes them, getting used to the feet forward position, but then he's not tried anything else for 30 years

I tried them, totally disliked them. Didn't feel right, prefer to be able to adjust feet depending on how ii am riding. Plus I've worn my pegs away, I'd be worse with boards!!!

I've cleaned the bike, checked and lubed the chain, bought a few odds and sods as I'm leaving tomorrow. packing my bags, a bit tricksy as I have to have one bag for my w^rk gear, which I'll hopefully be able to leave in Nottingham, and another for Scotland and Bellingham. work boots and casual footwear. Do I bring my camera or not, tank bag or not, Its not easy! I think I'll open a bottle of beerand contemplate the situ!

Met up with a mate at a local pub (The Crown at Kings Somborne) - they've just started a bike night and - 2017-07-12 19.05.21.jpg as you can see it is still early days and a few too many Harleys there for my liking but then this turned up!

Took a ride out into the Peak District yesterday. Up through Baslow and Curbar then on the Hathersage and up over the snake pass to Glossop before returning home via Chapel en le Frith and Buxton.

I used the TomTom rider twisty back roads get me lost but get me there function for the first time and it did a really good job. I know the area fairly well in terms of the main roads but it took me off those on to some fantastic back roads that I'd never been on before. Most of them had no traffic at all other than me.

Yep weather held, only one light shower all day. Fantastic roads and scenery and no traffic as we left at 09:00hs before the tour buses had filled up with tourist. Another item ticked off my bucket list. Here is a picture at Moll's Gap DSC07991.jpg on the Ring of Kerry. Off to Galway tomorrow.
