Read this eye opener a few years ago. the problem is they are so over worked and badly run they just dont have the time or resources.

No deterrent, police not really interested. Same old story all over the country.

Easier "prey" elsewhere. Speeders for example. Stick a camera van out somewhere and it's 'crime detected, crime solved, crime successfully prosecuted'. Easy money and looks great on the league tables.

I digress. Good luck with the return of the bike though, if that's what he wants. I say that as when some scumbags nicked mine ten years ago, I knew instantly I didn't want it back. Loved it too but it was over. Can't really explain it.

Really sorry about your mates bike. I guess it's a wishful thinking that these scumbags will get the hard end of the law

 

I may be ignorant ( ok stop it now) only, what do they do with the bike It cant all be joy ride and dump can it and I would like to think shipping abroad or selling for parts would be highly policed.

This Oxford tracker looks the business no wiring,battery lasts 10 years and 60 quid a year just hide it anywhere on bike or car and get up dates every 5 mins on position when it moves away from safe zone
