Never been on a Triumph, I would imagine the Street Triple at 370 lbs would handle more easily than my 480 lb BMW. Anyone own both who can opine? My typical rides are not long, include moderate urban/suburban traffic, and i frequently make stops to park. To note, the reliability of my 2004 BMW is superb, repairs are easy, inexpensive, and best of all infrequent. I'd love to hear comparisons from those who've had both. Thank

Hi and welcome - go for the test rides as suggested. I think my mate with his 2005 1200Rt might disagree with your experience: unreliable, difficult to repair, bloody expensive and frequent!
It may be all relative, the 1200Rt may be bulletproof compared to a Big Dog Chopper (anyone have one and can opine?). Granted this is a Triumph forum but is the general consensus that Triumph is more trouble-free than BMW?
