You haven't got one ..... and neither have I!

In (almost!) 22 years of Trident ownership I've yet to find one - not that I've been looking that hard.

Also, there is no mention of a tilt switch in Mr. Haynes Book of Fairy Tales in either the electrical or ignition sections.

So stop looking right now ... you'll only drive yourself mad if you carry on searching!!

When the cut out occurs does anything else happen, eg all lights out momentarily or all flash on ?

Ignition switch wiring tight to switch, cable ties tight on loom holding it down where loom bends ?

Nope, everything else works as it should.
It dies gently, like nodding off to sleep :) from idle it just slowly drops to1000rpm, then 9, then 8, 7... and just a gentle blip of the throttle will revive it.
Its not a sudden off like hitting the kill switch which is why I suspect fuel related. Maybe one of the float heights or mixtures is slightly out so 1 cylinder isn't quite supporting its own weight so to speak?

Sounds very much like a carb strip / clean / overhaul is in your near future.

checking for punctured floats, worn needles and blocked jets, I don't envy you that lot ............. good luck

I have this exact problem on my Tiger T400. My carbs cleaned and rebuild but this didn't change anything. Exactly the same issues before and after. The bike runs and idles great, exept the stalling under harder braking. Starts right up again when pushing the button. I haven't find a way to replicate this bug besides driving it. It's annoying and I hope someone can point me in any direction...

The issue was clear, as there was no announcement regarding a solution. The throttle snapped shut abruptly as the bike halted and then rebounded. In the bounce test, he continued to grip the throttle while it bounced, resulting in the same outcome.
