    I hadn't noticed that before Jez, it looks a bit pants tbh. On my 2010 T100 the centre stand had the back wheel off the ground by perhaps 3".

    I reckon it's because the chrome spoked wheels are 19" diameter as opposed to the 17" alloy wheels on the SE
    and they are using the same centre stand on all models, which means you immediately lose 1" ground clearance.
    My 17" rear wheel only clears the ground by ~ 1" - 2" when on the centre stand.

    Steve the sales guy told me about the lack of lift during the walk round. He's mentioned it to Triumph before but they apparently claim it's meant to be like that for stability... Will just park it over some half inch ply when I need to lube the chain so no biggie.

    It's amazing how much more physical strength and leverage you need to apply pulling up onto plywood.
    I've done it a couple of times on 1" plywood and not easy.
    Mindst you, mine has the 17" wheels so you have got that 1" advantage plus thinner ply will make it easier.

    Last week I found my front brake light was weak, so tonight when I investigated I found a loose connection at the switch.The switch spade connectors I have are to big so I will need to pick some up.

    Going on penelope to a steam museum in Kildare. Organised by the Irish vintage and veteran motorcycle club. Should be enjoyable. Will take some pics :)

    I own a nice steamificator myself for selfburning purposes!
    But I can fully imagine, how nice it should be to get burned together with other steam-fans!
    @Havit : I wish you a painful and exciting day !

    I was working today. Spent the day at Jacks Hill Cafe for their Triumph day. Helping out my local dealer, chatting about the Thruxton R and T120 they had on display. Sold a few T shirts, arranged a few test rides and spent the day in the sun surrounded by Triumphs and bikers.
    it's a hard life....
