Although the photo does flatter it a bit, it is in fairly good nick for it's age. It's just shame I don't ride it much.
Over the years I've done what I wanted to it, i.e. Ohlins rear shock, Ohlins front springs, Brembo radial brakes, Fork brace (allegedly solid titanium) and other bits and pieces.
Currently debating what to do with it.
Now I've got the Speed, I'm thinking of maybe selling it and getting a 4 to 5 year old Bonnie to tinker with in the garage.

If you sell it, you will only regret it and always want another one.

That looks remarkably like the 1200 Bandit I bought new in '96. Great bike.

Probably, I'm 3 of the previous owners count :)
But I'm using it less and less now.
I don't need the money as such, but I could do with the space, if I want to get another bike....

    Decisions Decisions :D

Just finished putting a new X-ring chain on my Tiger - first time I've done one in 20 yrs (Scottoiler user).

Went like a piece of cake as a pal gave me the chain breaker/riveter tool.

I've had two other before this one.

First was a red one in 96, then a black one and finally this one.
This one was the unfaired version when I bought it (with the mandatory twin bates set up .)
I put a fairing on it, plus the Ohlins kit and it had a full Givi kit as well for most of it's life.
Since I've stopped using it for touring, I've removed the fairing and the Givi kit, uprated to radial brakes and M/C and done a few other little bits.
If I sell it, I'll probably put it back to std and sell the good bits seperately.

    I have been tinkering :)

Small steps rather than strides, but my project is moving on... project update to follow later on

Been up to Newcastle for the weekend (visiting family), great run up and back in the car, loads of bikes out on the A69 coming home today. Had a spare hour on Saturday so me and the wife headed for Newcastle Truimph, bugger got there and it was all closed up; I assume it has moved since the last time I was in Newcastle. Never mind, got out for a meal and a few beers so all in all not a bad weekend, even if we travelled in the car.

Time for a new front tyre, so a Saturday morning trip to Launceston Tyre Co.
Would recommend giving them a try if you're anywhere close. Reasonable price, has matched better prices when I've had them, nice chap & triumph friendly!
Nice full English at The Pie Stop just around the corner.

Got myself some new slippers, well that's what they're doing! On Tracey today, rode back from london in a gingerly fashion, almost wanted to hang my feet down on every corner!! Going to have to go out this evening to scrub em in properly! Shame!! Has to be done:rolleyes:

Anyone know where I can get the top of a Mikuni carb for a 900 Thunderbird? Was going to vacuum gauge the carbs only to find a split in the top of one of the carb caps. No wonder she started popping again. How it got there i dont know....... I could glue it but would rather replace it.
