Yes, low riding experience and S1000RRs are a volatile mix! Still miles safer than an old R1 though! Glad you're happy mate - makes it worthwhile getting out of bed in the morning!
That is really impressive - an extra 18hp and a 1/3rd more torque at the low end is a big gain and well worth the cold shoulder at home! So, you book an appointment and just turn up with the bike? - I think the Tiger may be making the 198 mile round trip soon!
Just a bit off here... hmm, not straight now! Bit more off this side... hmmm too much... just a light touch off this side then! Nope, that's not right... I'll just even it up a bit more...
Today I took the 765RS to Three Cross for it's first service, they were a bit behind so lent me a Street Triple R demo to stop me hanging around making the place look untidy! The Speed felt physically bigger and noticeably more grunt than the Street, the gearbox though, compared to the light easy action I have become used to the Speeds felt agricultural ... bloody awful! Overall on direct comparison I have chosen the right bike for me, not that I want to upset any Speedy owners, they are a good bike but Triumph need to work the magic on its gearbox as they have on the Street. Anyhow the RS was done by the time I got back, so more revs available & it's all starting to feel better, went out riding for the rest of the day & now have nearly 800 miles on so a couple more rides & she'll be run in. On the downside because Three Cross didn't supply the bike they charged me over £160 for the first service which would have been free had I taken back to Pidcocks (280 mile round trip).
As a Mechanic and Truck driver in the Army, we were Taught/Told to load above the Axle ! Or if that's not possible, load the forward available space first, try to balance the weight evenly with a bias to the front. Cheers capt.

I wonder where his pink dressing gown was hanging On top of that I noticed his Sunderland supporters cup on his bed side table, its already to take his set of teeth - when someone wakes him up gets him back to his tent lol The three cans while putting his tent up took its toll
Doing loads of late night/early morning driving recently there ain't much traffic about until you get to the diversions for all the closed roads due to roadworks, that's a bummer!!
