Went for a beautiful ride today with a pal and his Ural outfit. Started from Aigurande, then Bonnat, Guéret, Bourganeuf and finally Lac Vassivière. Returned via Peyrat Le Chateau.

The weather was perfick, 30°, slight breeze and blue skies. Had a meal at a resto next to the lake. Couldn't have been a nicer day

Trip to Honda HQ today to meet their events team. They conceded to a Thruxton parked out front - I accepted I looked like a 'London business w@nker'...shameful.

...and cracking triumph day at ace cafe Sunday.

The price we pay to meet Euro noise and emission reg's I'm afraid, plus variations from motor to motor.
You've now got a "proper job", looking good, yep worth the trip.

Tc,

Yes, the ecu is remapped and not detectable when you have it serviced. I am told that the software auto corrects for varying weather conditions, fuel etc and can also adjust should you change exhausts/air filters etc.

My bike just felt flat compared with the S1000r I had previously.. it's much better now! Long ride though 250 miles for the return trip.

Still looking forward to a trip to Loomies with you at some point.
