We're off to Spain in a month on our Bonneville.
I will be wearing my Bell Custom 500 open face helmet which is fitted with the original dark tinted visor.
Is this going to be legal in Spain?
I am struggling to find a definitive answer and need to know in case I have to get a clear visor.

The visor thing is an eu law so should be standard across all Euro states, no more than 50% tint. Although illegal to sell them over here they are still available in Spain and used, Spanish police are fairly relaxed about it but you could be done for wearing an illegal one

I normally use a dark visor in the uk on my shoei, but when I go abroad (2 weeks in Spain 2016) I use my gt air which has the clear and dark visor built in,but it's purely because if the weather changes I'm good vision wise,I wouldn't worry about going with just the dark visor and to be honest depending on were you go in Spain you see less police on the roads than you do in the uk,enjoy your trip mate

Does it not impair your vision with the dark visor if riding at night or in poor weather?
I like the sound of the reactolite visors which gives the best of both worlds.

    Thanks to all,some interesting observations.
The visor isn't truly black but has a significant tint and I have no problems with it in any daylight conditions, around towns it is in the up position anyway.
    I have good, uncorrected eyesight.
    Riding in the dark?
Never say never but I can't remember the last time I ventured out in the dark on a bike, I consequently have no idea how effective the standard headlight is.
The idea of hitting any one of the thousands of super pot holes on the bike because I didn't notice it in time fills me with horror!
Night times for me are for filling arm chairs and enjoying a few beers, not riding!

If you have room, take a clear, in case of night time need if nothing else.
