Any help appreciated looking at new tail light and indicators for 2014 speedmaster all ones on internet seem to be led. Is it as simple as unplugging the originals and plugging the new ones in or do I need more things for led? I've got no problems fitting and modifying/making brackets it's just electric that baffles me
I've just changed the indicators on my speed triple to led ones and I had to change the relay so I would expect you would need to do the same. Can't comment on the tail lamp, it already has an led one fitted. Hope this helps.
Hi mate I changed all the lights on my speedmaster and everything worked apart from the indicators went like the clappers, way to fast The solution was to get an adjustable indicator relay off fleabay At first they wouldn't work with the new relay until I made some wiring to change the polarity of the relay, then had to mount the relay next to the relay socket and connect them with the wiring After using the adjuster to set up the blink rate they've worked fine
Nice one mate sounds challenging but I'll give it a go! just ordered some new indicators and tail light off the flebay (hopefully they fit) so I'll get the relay too. If all else fails I'll use my arms or just keep going straight
If you get stuck I'll send you a picture of how I did it 3 short wires with lucas connections.....nothing to challenging
Changed my indicators on my Thunderbird 900 to LED. I had to buy an adjustable relay to stop the blinkers flashing too fast. You can get a relay for next to nothing on WISH
