I have a low mileage 1997 Triumph Adventurer which came fitted with a single seat and rear carry rack. I also have a double seat for the bike but having a little difficulty fitting it. After removing the rear carrier there is a "hole" in the rear guard where I assume some sort of fitting needs to be inserted to take the rear restraining/fixing "prong" on the underside of the double seat. Can anyone help me in identifying what I need? Sorry if my powers of description are crap!

    Thanks - George

You can get the kit required from a Triumph dealer, I had get it for my 2009 America, when I bought touring gel seat, it comes as single base two seated ! The originals is two single seat bases ! It's a quick release base you need ! It's a pointed tapered spike that pushes the latch wide apart as it drops over. In your second photo is what you need !
