Well I've spent the day fitting a new centrestand to my Legend... and been finding and fixing some mutton handed twerps shite workmanship!!! The bike looks lovely, but lift her skirt and the local rough arse has seemingly had his (or her) way... time for a little love and attention!

    Hi Bob,
Good idea and it looks like you've done a proper neat job.
But being honest mate, personally I think it looks a bit large and clumpy.
I would prefer to carry a rubber pad or a bit of plywood for the rare times I park on softer ground.

Close but it did involve a ladder against the house, briefly! Unfortunately only under the influence of incompetence at that time.

OUCH!!! That really does smart!! I managed to break one and badly bruise the other. Could have been worse though, the physio told me that he had just got a patient with both heels broken:eek: - that must be a bit of a bugger!!

Just be aware that I also managed to crush two vertebra (T10 and T11 - lower neck/upper spine) which did not become apparent for a good few years afterwards, but my doctor was adamant that it could only have happened in my accident. It now causes much pain and stiffness in my lower back which can severely limit time spent walking/standing/riding motorcycles. Just need to treat myself gently these days.

Strange how an injury in one place can cause pain and discomfort in a different area.

If in doubt, try to get an x-ray on your spine.

    Get well soon!:)

Neighbour hears the Bonnie, pops round to ask if I would like a ride out. Has a 1996 Harley and a 1999 Ducati.

Destination? A remote ruined Norman church abandoned in the 1700's but built in the middle of a Neolithic circle or Henge. Very atmospheric.
