Hi folks. Nice site. I bought my SIII new on '07 and I've done over 40,000 miles on it - about half of them in the first couple of years. I've never had so much trouble with a bike in my life but even so the only thing I'd swap it for is a new one - it just suits the way I ride so well. Here's a pic: Although it says 2007 on the photo the camera was set to the wrong date - it was at our rally last year!
Hi welcome to the forum, hope they fixed the issues you had, so far so good with my 2012 Speed Triple. Got my fingers crossed for trouble free ownership after a nightmare warranty time with a Ducati. Good to hear you would still buy a new one and hope you enjoy being part of a British forum dedicated to British bikes.
While the bike was under warranty Triumph were brilliant. Shame the warranty was out when the engine seized 3,00 miles after a dealer service. Hey ho! :frown:
Hi Brybrem, sorry to here about the seize up mate... Ordinarily Triumph are awesome for customer and after sales service... I have only had 1 little issue (gear shifter) and they were on it like a bonnet!! Did they find the cause of yours?? Anyway, welcome to the forum, which rally was the pic taken at?
Brilliant, Jim! How does that work? To be honest I was really disappointed with the response from both Triumph and the dealer in question. Wouldn't use the dealer again but I think it says a lot about the bike that I would still buy another after the poor way I was treated by Triumph.
Just what it says on the can,on all their new bikes you get a lifetime warranty, not transferable if you sell it and doesn't cover consumables Tyres etc.I did say to the owner what if you go bust? his reply was they are a third generation company, and all their stock ( and the have loads) is all bought and paid for also they are the most successful bike dealers in the Southwest, and nice people to do business with.
