2nd that a linky to where u got rimtape would be good, think it would break up the black wheels on my bike nicely and go with the red body work.

Hi MickEng. How are you keeping up buddy.

My bike was taken out by a range rover a month ago :(. The frame was snapped and insurance wrote it off. I received a decent payment. I'm currently going through a house purchase and once that's compelted, I shall look for a 2013 Speed Triple R or a 2010 Cross Plane R1. I'm leaning more towards the Speed Triple R with ABS Ohlins & PVM wheels. I have all the goodies from my crashed 2011 Bike so I could fit them on the 2013 model. Let's see how it pans out;). 20170415_213241.jpg 20170417_145453.jpg 20170415_182842.jpg

Hi buddy. I was in full gear and thank god for that. Pretty badly bruised left leg but nothing broken. I'm all good now.

The sad thing is I was gunning that motor all morning n afternoon through some lovely countryside roads. Then I crash at 20 mph around the corner from my yard

    Bloody hell!
Really sorry to hear that R-1000, I thought you had been quiet for a while.
I must have picked up on some older pics and only replied yesterday.
I hope you were not injured, looking at the helmet you must have been shaken up a bit.
Best wishes and hope you get sorted in time for the good weather.

R1 Yamaha H :scream: I think you should go back to the doctors and have your head checked again as it looks like that bump you had on your head has effected your judgement :joy::joy::joy:

Cheers buddy. I am glad I came out ok n excited about looking for a replacement bike ;)

Well the crash happened around 6pm. My sister came picked me up as I couldn't even stand. Anyway I left the bike on the side of the road and went home to pick up the tools and all the oem parts...indicators. ..panels. ..exhaust etc. Came back to the spot at 8pm and removed all the non damaged aftermarket items (which is practically everything)...The only lost items that went with the bike are Earmax screen and r&g bungs. Around 230am I had all the parts loaded into my sister's car. Around 3am insurance salvage company picked up the bike and he was kind enough to drop me off at my parents. By the time I reached home my left calf muscle was the size of a pumpkin and I was in agony. So all in all the bike went back to them bog standard. I did declared all my upgrades but I was told in the event of a crash, they will only replace with standard oem parts. Anyways I got all my goodies back including all the carbon bits plus all electronic bits and other items.

Just as a matter of interest R-1000, while you were removing all the parts from your damaged bike between the hours of 8pm - 2.30am were you questioned by the Police ?

Cheers buddy. I always ride in full gear n I use forcefield stand alone back protector. If it wasn't for the gear, I would have broken some bones

That is a little worrying to say the least.
6.5 hours stripping down a bike at the side of the road without being questioned is probably why bike related crime is so prevalent.
