    Hi

Has anyone fitted a Lambda sensor eliminator.
I have looked into this and seems like a good way to improve performance.

Just wondered if anyone has had experience with these.

    Cheers

It's important to understand that the Lambda sensor is sending information to the ECU to adjust the fuelling map. If the ECU doesn't get this info it'll throw it's toys out of the pram. If you want to remove the O² sensors you'll need to have a map that DOESN'T look for this info. That's how it is on EFi Bonnys anyway.

I think you might be looking at this from the wrong way around. To improve performance you need more air and more fuel going through the engine. Removing the O² sensor on it's own will just cause poor running.

I have on my thruxton (a twin obviously), it improves engine/ throttle response at low Revs.

Hi Crispey, I think you might be getting confused with removing the AI system in your reply, which the OP has already done. It's the O² sensor removal he's on about.

To do that without any error messages you either use TuneECU to turn them off, or buy dummy loads that plug into the wiring to make the ECU think they are still in place.

Then physically remove the O²'s and replace with blanking plugs.

Aaah! That's where it's gone wrong, they've used industrial grade used pub floor sawdust, I wondered why I kept smelling of stale beer and dried vomit!
