hello all neil here new to this site just bought myself a triumph 1973 trophy 650 single carb job Got a little bit excited towards British bikes whilst re Ferbing an old BSA b25 ss. Always had jap bikes for my sins growing up in the 70/80s Road the triumph 45 miles ish on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it Bit Dodgie at times changing gear with the brake pedal though but I got the knack after a while Looking forward to sum sunshine and hopefully meeting up with some other triumphs. Thanks all neil briscoe
Welcome Neil. Awkward getting used to the pedal and shifter being on the correct 'British' side, ennit. Enjoy the ride, and if you wanna meet up with some fellow asylum inmates in July check out the GMU thread in newbies corner. Oh, and by the way, you forgot to include a photo in your post
Hi n welcome, lol changing gears with the brake pedal is far better then braking with the gear lever.
Welcome to the forum Neil. The older bikes are great, I bet it's not long before you get tempted with the newer bikes as well, now you've joined this happy throng.
I do have some other bikes bought a yam mt09 last year had an aprilla Mille befor that but found I couldn't ride it far made my back ache The yam is an awesome bit of kit but it doesn't put a smile on my face like the old triumph
