Hi Been a member of Triumph Torque for many, many years but I've recently bought a 955i Daytona to rebuild and I was looking for some parts and stumbled across this site so I thought I'd join.
This was the last Daytona I rebuilt. Bought like this; Went through this; To start getting like this; (and yes I did rebuild it on the patio table!) To this; I decided I didn't like the decals or exhaust so it went through a minor repaint and became this; And then I sold it! So, I've started again with this; Watch this space.... ;-)
welcome to the forum Nige, you made a great job of the first one, will be interesting to see your work on the next
Welcome to the forum Nige. Heavy lump to have on your patio table. If your planning on doing rebuilds regularly I would invest in a bike lift, particularly if you have small children about.
The green one is going to be done with as much originality as possible with a few sensible updates where needed.
Buy one, you will not regret it. If you're working in a smallish garage as I am, the ability to move the bike out of the way or out of the garage whilst doing other things whilst the bike is in bits is wonderful! Plus with their new adaptors I will be able to remove the swingarm with the bike "up there"!
