Always reminds me of when I thought I had paid the largish bird a compliment:
"You don't sweat much for a fat lass do you"

Further to this a mate of mine has had to pull out of this rally due to his car gearbox going pop! He needs his car so priorities must!
This means a ticket is now available if anyone is interested

    Update......ticket now gone

The Speed's in the dealers today, having the first service and quickshifter, GPS and alarm fitted.
I was tempted to ask about heated grips again after this mornings ride!

It was completely weird. The last couple of nights have been really cold, about 1°c.

Fortunately tomorrow and onwards are scheduled for about 18-20 or more - phew !!!!

Today i have been taking delivery of my latest baby....
Taken rear pegs off, adjusted all levers to my liking,
removed reflectors from front forks, ( didnt like them )
Set all dash and rider modes.
cant ride it until Monday.... Tax and insurance starts then. cant wait
Ill have to make do with trusty old speed. IMAG0369.jpg

Decisions Decisions, It's the roots festival this weekend in Kilkenny different bands on in every pub in town up to three a day. In each pub. Watched Skinny Elvis again last night (the rockabilly band that was at the bike show in Dublin) They were brilliant. On Sunday though I have a bike run in Wicklow or a jap classic bike show in Dublin to go to. The weather isn't great today so I will see what its like tomorrow. If its good the the bike run will be my choice if its bad the jap show. Then back for the band's in the evening. Photos to follow.

    Hi Andy,

.....all my life I've never been the one 'to follow the well worn path'......so I guess that's why I like the Bobber so much....it's as eccentric as I am!.....

....I'll miss my Thruxton when it goes but again, the LT I'm replacing it with, is also eccentric and less mainstream in a totally different way to the Bobber and if it gets Mrs dickydido out on a bike with me again then that will be a fantastic result in my book....

    Cheers,

    dickydido

Bikers were out there today in flocks...
But it is funny, how they all stick to the same roads.
So you find yourself all alone suddenly despite all the fuss :D

    OK guys!
Weather today even better than yesterday.
Had myself a little break at the apex of one of my favorite bends in the Spessart.
Pics show a couple of incoming bikes, and the departure climb.
Great road. Narrow, but well paved. Sheer fun!
And that Bonneville is definitely the best thing on two wheels that happened to me so far :)
(Oh, @stevethegoolie and @Dozers Dad : I couldn't avoid the trees entirely. Too many around :D)
