Halvarssons / Jofama make excellent textile jackets, soft luggage looks good, but would need to protect that bodywork from rubbing. Watch out for those high pipes touching on soft luggage!

I always used sign writing vinyl to protect paintwork, inexpensive, easy on and off, even get matching colour so it doesn't stand out.

Have you looked at Kriega tailpacks ? Expensive but very good (and genuinely waterproof) and keeps well away from painted bits. Tested by me, up to silly speeds :D, not on the America;):D

I had an SV650 then a GSXR750 and never had any problems fitting a US20 and two US10's. My brother-in-law used Kriega on his speed triple, with no problems. Never heard of anybody having difficulty, as long as your seat clips off and on.
This is why I am not currently using for the cruiser, but I am not selling, as they will be used again on the next bikes.

Mine have done 1000's of miles, no wear, no leaks, which is not what you can say for a lot of luggage. If they do fail, warranty from Kriega is excellent, mate used his US10 everyday for commuting, wore it out and Kriega replaced for free.

Only downside, is they are a bit of a faff getting on and off if using more than one pack, but newer system looks to make that easier than my old style packs.

I have Kriega (us30 I think) not used it yet, but fitted it and it looks awesome.

US30, 2x US20 + US10 on the tank. All neat & tidy. Stayed secure at "pressing on" speeds through some windy Pyrenees roads last summer.
    I'd definitely recommend them.
