Like you , im a big old fella, but a couple of inches shorter. This has not put me off though. run a speed 94r now. love it, dont need to test ride, got one on order with a couple of accessories. I want mine now, but running a yamaha in. mines here 1st May and cant wait.......The tft dash is so similar to that of my MT10 and love that too.

 

Went in to my local dealer today, their silver demo RS is awaiting parts.
"Wouldn't be for the clutch?" I asked.
"Yes"
"Is it melted?"
"how did you know?"

Sold my STR last weekend. So the king is dead...long live the king! Arrives in about 3 weeks. I stayed away from the Matte this time and went for this colour.

 

Nice, I'm considering ordering the matte finish, what was wrong with the last one in matte?

Had a black speed 94 and didn't like the swirls.

 

If they'd done the new RS in Matte Black like my previous triple I would have gone for it again. Looking at the silver it has a little more of a sheen to it so not quite matte and it has quite a course look to it. It's a nice colour but thought I'd stick with black albeit a metallic this time.

Well still no sign of the bike..shouldn't be too long.

Saw two new black rs's going out of the dealer today. Glad I've gone with this colour. I really should test ride one but buying it based on my previous experience with the STR and the reviews. Some are saying it rides like a two stroke. This I am very pleased about. I had a Panigale 1199s and sold it for a 1299s. I miss the powerband at 8k, something the 1299 doesn't have. Don't get me wrong the 1299 overall is a better bike, but the 1199s certainly made me smile more.

I know you're trying to decide between a speed and a street so for me if you want smiles per mile the street RS will certainly do what you ask. Get one bought. I've been told mine will be here the first two weeks of May and after seeing two today, really looking forward to getting it now.

 

I've just got back from riding a speed r, love it, the torque is amazing so I've bought Rockers one on sale here.
