675 Paint problem

I've just bought one, so sent a message to 8 ball to ask how to clean it, I got the following advice:

"You're okay to use water on it to wash it down if particularly dirty. But one of our top tips is something you'll find hard to believe....Mr Muscle window cleaner! After you've wet the bike down liberally spray the Mr Muscle over the panels and wipe off with a clean microfibre cloth in as few a strokes as possible. With matte paintwork you must never rub at it as this will cause it to go shiny. The Mr Muscle can be applied on to the dry panels, they don't have to be wet!!"

I'm tempted to get mine wrapped with clear matte vinyl to protect the paint from bugs etc.

 

That's concerning! Can you point me to a thread so that I can look at pics to know what to watch for?
