Off the back of the recent post about Triumph branded saddlebags thought I'd ask what others are using for bags. I recently picked up a used pair of Saddlemen throw over bags, quality wise they are good although small and personally I'm not a fan of the studded look but hey they were the right price. I do like the added side pouches that I can put my mobile phone and spare sunglasses etc in. I have them hard mounted as I don't like the throw over style, I can strip them and the sissy bar on or off in 1/2 hour (amazing how versatile these bikes are)

    What are others using???

That is a lovely looking bike AA
But I must agree with you, I don't particularly like the studded stuff either.
Great shape bags but I would be looking at ways to remove the studs or tone them down a bit.
Purely personal choice but if you're not 100% happy with them on a bike as nice as that change them or mod them unless of course they start to grow on you.

When I bought my Speedmaseter (second hand) it came with loads of Triumph accessories.....including Triumph leather saddlebags. When I got it home, the 'bags came off. I think leather saddlebags look a bit naff to be honest, especially if they're on all the time just for 'show'. I've used mine once on a weekend camping trip. The rest of the time they're stored away...... But as they say each to their own.

Regarding the studded bags pictures above, could the studs be painted over with black enamel paint etc?

Good idea about the black paint although I'll use a satin enamel finish to hide them more, sounds like a good project with for a small brush and steady hand.........................

It'll certainly make the studs less noticeable

Picture of saddle bag. It is detachable, with a locking system to secure it to the bike, I think I paid around $700 odd.
