    I'll be doing this the next sunny wednesday,if anyone is up for it give me a shout on where you want to meet up..the ferry from Colintrave over to Bute runs every 30 minutes and is £5.80 return Click on map to enlarge

    It is the most expensive ferry in Europe !!! For the distance crossed compared to price. Also believe you'll get charged for passenger as well as bike, so takes it to £8 for a distance of less than 400m. :eek:

    yeah it's expensive,,but no other way to get there:(..never been to Bute before so i'll splash out :oops:

    I know, that's how they get away with it. Worth it, Rothsey is nice. See if Lena Zavaroni parent's still have the chippie ???:D

    Is Lena still alive? Wasn't she having problems with drugs and drink at one point?

    she died years ago she was anorexic, i imagine it will still be relatives that still have the shop

    weather forecast looks ok, so i'm going to do this run tommorow (Sunday 30th April) i'll be leaving Blair about 8 ish, If anyone is up for it give me a shout..various places enroute we could meet up,i'm planning to be at Lix Toll about 9.30.. stop somewhere for a coffee then reach Colintraive to get the ferry before noon..see map for route..i can either go via Aberfeldy/Loch Tay or Crieff/Loch Earn..If i don't hear from anyone i might leave earlier;)

    You will have to go up the west coast of Scotland sometime Andy,anywhere north of Glasgow is biking nirvana:cool:;)
    i have got a few routes planned for the borders this year though, also a couple in D&G, will keep you in the loop;)

    will do Gary probably be a wednesday..been busy on the myroute-app!! first one will probably be a Hawick Loop as the last time i was there i was just passing through so didn't get to see the "Hizzy" statue

    Weekdays are good for me Dougie so a Wednesday should be ok. Hawick loop sounds good to me :)

    You can also give me a 'crash course' on MyRoute App at the coffee stops too if you don't mind. It's time I moved on from TYRE I reckon but I'm a wee bit confused (not difficult) with how you plot routes with it.
