So, we love our Bonnie Scrambler, BUT.
I have Avon Roadriders on (a matched set) and i was suprised by how high the pressures had to be, but went with it. However the rear is very squirmy and not confident especially over white lines and ruts.
Any of you folks got these boots and experienced the same? Should i just lower the pressures? I had Avon Distanzia on our last bike and loved them. Is this a Bonnie trait?
Another thought if I end up changing them. Anyone know the widest tyre I can fit to the rear with the chrome spoked rims?
    Ride safe

    Hi Micky,

I've got Roadriders on my Scrambler and have to say I'm really pleased with them. I changed the suspension front and back before changing the tyres which made a difference but it got even better once the new tyres went on!!

Are you on the standard suspension set up?

Mmm! You've got me thinking now!
I have the OEM Metzelers on my Bonnie EFI (cast wheels) and they are ready for changing.
I had decided on the Avon Roadriders after reading many good write ups.
Avon advertise the tread design as good for not white lining ?

I had two sets of Avon AM26 roadriders on my T100 over 24,000mls and they were perfect. Great grip wet or dry, lasted forever - what's not to like ??

@ Mick Long - what pressures are you running? I had mine at front 33psi & rear 40 psi.

Yes, suspension is standard, which i think is quite 'bangy'. Do you think a rear shock change would improve the trye grip then?

Once the front metz gets worn or pressure drops it does get very 'squirmy'
I put roadriders on my thrux and once they were scrubbed in theyre great

So was the general consensus to go with the Avon AM26 Roadriders? I need to get a set of tyres for mine, as they're getting more like slicks and wondering what the best set of tyres to go for is?

I have purchased a set of AM26 but haven't fitted them yet, another 0.6mm of tread to scrub off yet.
Early next month I reckon for fitting, I will keep you updated.

I've got them on my Scrambler and think they're great. Really improved the feel of the handling...much more confident through corners!

Binned the frightening OEM Bridgestone Trail Wings at 500 miles. Replaced with Conti Trail Attack 2s. The tread pattern is more road biased than the name implies. Getting 13K front, 8K rear and they is cheap:)
