Yo, said in best HD language. Where's that Yorkshire Frenchman big fat lump Big Fella? Havin' met yer and ridden with yer, yer absolutely right to say what yer said. I might even come back to the forum because of idiots like you. Note all the replies here are from members who think the same as I do, even newbies. I used to enjoy tryin' to help younger riders (my riding started in 1964 on a Tiger Cub and then through most of the Triumph range with Tritons and the odd real Rocket Goldie thrown in).

The banter is very good even Tigger (Tigcraft) heh heh sorry mate..Had a bad time last few years with poor medical thingy's but had a complete renewal of enthusiasm last year (Never sold my Hogs) and abandoned all hope by recently buying a busted 1975 T140 and am turning it into cafe racer. Still got my puddin lid, silk scarf, fringed jacket, so I'm back..so don't you be goin' anywhere Big Fella or we will send the boys round. Hummmpph that told him..nurse..ooooh that's nice, could you just ease that tight jacket a bit..

All the +ve replies here great, hello to old pals. I have no interest in anythin' other than biking on here so will be selective, oh and Mr O thanks fer takin' on the task. If any of yer are over Scarboro, Filey, Brid, call in fer a brew :D

I'm not going to repeat what's already been said in this thread, agree with you all.

It's human nature that someone will not like something posted by another member, it happens especially as the forum membership is growing.
Take a deep breath and no keyboard warrior rant or you know the consequences,,,Mr O will be round with the cane :):)

Best bike forum I've been on by a long chalk. Diversity of content, honest frankness and difference of opinions is welcomed imo, just so long as we remember we're all motorcycling enthusiasts and buddies and keep over zealous emotions in check.

Heh heh heh , that's mi boy. The ol' T140 is very different to my fully tricked 2009 Bonnie SE yer last saw me on at Squires, but absolutely OOOzes character. Just got my seat back from upholsterer to my design. Manx Norton black with red piping, and the tank, £540 of sheer sexy ally Slippery Sam replica. Fer those that don't know Slippery Sam was a Trident raced way back. Hagon shocks, ally rims, just puttin' engine back together. And what would a cafe racer be without clip ons. Modified kick start, rear sets will do my back a world of good, and yes still suffer from delusion ;)

Rich, that's a fabulous lady singing a fabulous country style song about a 1952 Vinnie..that is one GREAT track sir, ta fer tellin' us, never heard it afore :D:D I remember riding a tuned 1965 Bonnie, with a mate behind on one of those, thought I'd blow him away. Eased off, looked round, and there he was, I bet he was thinking " Is that the best you've got?"

    Dave - don't go! :(:(
I agree with the comments raised by some of the lads above and with you in some respect but maybe crispey is right - we all need to get out on or bikes a bit more now that the better weather (pissing down now of course) is here.
There's still enough b*ll*x spouted on here to keep even you happy!
(good to see Recycled Rocker back - good on yer mate!:D:D)

I've been a member of various car and motorcycle forums over the past 15 years or so, and I've noticed one particular change, which I'm not keen on. Before I start, every forum is different, most are generally good, but some are far worse than others.

Back in the day, you asked a question regarding an aspect of repair, upgrade or general query regarding your vehicle of choice. You got back 10+ answers with some banter. Superb.

Now however, there is a trend within 3 replies, somebody will come back with a snippy reply along the lines of "If you did a quick search on google you'd find your answer" or "I'm sick of people asking the same questions every couple of weeks! Search for the answer!"

For me, this is what the forums are for. Asking questions of people who have had experience regarding your question, rather than searching internet and getting different conflicting advice. When you start putting people off asking questions, they won't join in with other threads.

I was a member of another bike forum for a few years, and that reply was generally standard. They also had less weekly posts than we get here in a day. The same people who moaned about questions also moaned about the forum being dead. Go figure!

Ok Ok , i get it. Yes I know i Sod Arse on here, And to be honest i Enjoy the Banter. The winter is a quiet time for us Summer bikers and a not as enjoyable time for the all season bikers . Cold wet miserable nights, nothing on the box but you know you can have a banter with the forum for a giggle or be it a more serious chat. This forum is not only fun but informative too. Just look at anyone of the threads old or new. If someone has a problem or needs advice just look how many are on here to help. Even i try to be helpful if i know what the problem is myself. The reason this forum is getting bigger is because its fun.if it wasn't and the numbers were falling then we are doing something wrong. A new member joined lately because his last forum was too strict. We should be happy we are not. Ron makes sure its all in order and is doing a great job.The lounge is what it is, having a relax and a chat. Be it bikes or whatever.we all have a interest in Triumph motorbikes that's what brings us all together. We are connected by Bikes. Nobody should ever take offence on here. perhaps some members would prefer the forum to be more serious.I think they are wrong.I truly believe that having a sense of humour is a healthy part of enjoying friendship . (sometime you need one) be it on a forum or in person. When we all met last year we all bonded even more, We are like a big family on here. Yes there will be times when someone will get annoyed at someone. we won't all see eye to eye. If we were all the same what a boring life we would lead. But move on. Just think the summer will be here soon and we will be too busy out on our bikes to be on here as often. Other then to let each other know what we have been up to and share our stories. because lads, We are bikers and love talking Bikes.:)

Im sorry Dave and COL C you feel the way you do. and i apologize if i have been the cause in any way. I love this forum and i hope you stay part of it. your both great guys.

    He loves it !!

Anybody that buys a B*W is a little bit of a sado-masochist , they like the constant dislike from every other biker out there !!! Must do, don't spend that kind of money on a rusty scaffold with ugly engine just for riding ???

    Hi Graeme,
I cannot recall anyone on this forum ever saying something like that. I have only ever seen good information given. I agree that giving an answer like "I'm sick of people asking the same questions every couple of weeks! Search for the answer!" is no good to the person asking the question or is it any benefit to the forum as a whole.
