Hi to all, My name is Aleks and I'm 24. Just recently got my license and 10 days ago got my very first bike, so you can imagine how excited I was. Actually I'm still so excited, in less than 10 days I did about 350miles with my 2012. Triumph Tiger 800 ABS. I had my training on Yamaha XJ6, because I fensy "Adventure" type of bikes or "dual-sport", been thinking to get a V-Strom 650 or a Transalp, althought I liked much more the Tiger but I thought it is too strong and too expensive for a first bike... When my friend decided that he has to sell his Tiger I had no dilemma! And so far it seems like one of my best decisions! So I can tell that now I'm living my dream The bike has something over 12k miles, so I already booked in the major service along with the standard oil and filter change. The bike was properly serviced, and I shall continue maintaining it. Do any of you have some suggestions what else should I do or check? Today I got my Triumph Expedition panniers and top box in black. Obviously I'm a new rider so I need more experience which will come with miles ridden hopefully, and than I'm redy to explore UK and than Europe. I will attach some pictures of my bike. Regards
HI Alek, nice bike you have and congratulations on getting your license there is nothing better than getting lots of miles under your belt to give you more confidence and help you to feel at one with your bike. just treat all other road users as idiots then you will always be ready to expect the unexpected!!
Welcome Aleks. Pleased to see you finally figured out how to get in to this mad house. We will have to start a Bedford Tiger sub-forum and monthly maintenance club
Welcome in! That's a very smart tiger you have there, enjoy it! Get used to it and have fun, then look at some advanced riding courses. You know it makes sense * edit: damn you're young! You sure you shouldn't have some stabilisers on the back of that?
Welcome Aleks! Great bike. I like your black panniers. Little side question: did you have to use a different e-mail adress, to log on here? It would not work for me neither (several fruitless tries) with my gmx-adress... Cheers, Daniel
Hi and welcome to the forum. Great choice of bike and you posted pics without being asked! Well done on passing your test - just get out there every day if you can and ride, you'll soon become confident.
Big thanks to all for welcoming! Yeah I already managed to meet two Already experienced that I must be extra careful because of "great" drivers of mighty cars I will definitely do in future some advanced riding course, thank you for advice. Hahahah okay I'm not that young I been waiting 4 days for confirmation email...
