If you do go to see it don't forget there will be others out there so don't get panicked into buying it
Well the old man did just tell me I I'd be dead in a couple of weeks riding one of these so guess I must be a loon cheers Dad!
I'm not sure how much bike experience you have but for my input, go do a bike safe day. I know the police ain't tops on here but boy can they give (not lecture) a wealth of experience....Well worth considering
Only a year on a scooter riding in and out of central London everyday. Then a couple years doing the same on a geared 125. I wouldn't say I'm experienced. Probably just touched the surface really. Even doing a days training on the DAS the other day taught me loads I had either forgotten or didn't know to begin with. I actually got stopped by the police a couple months ago (they were stopping all bikers) as they were handing out leaflets for the bike safe day. Think I've still got it somewhere. PS. I would of been disappointed in the old man if he had said anything else!
Hi Matt, Called the seller twice on seperate days (no answer and unable to leave voicemail as it was a landline) and sent 2 emails but haven't heard anything. The adverts still up and says 'quick sale wanted' ... so either it's sold and the ad hasn't been taken down. Or the seller has seen my username and doesn't want to deal with me And nope mod 2 is Thursday morning. Sean.
Funnily, I hate traffic cops, but would heartidly recommend a BikeSafe day. Did one a couple of years ago, good way to spend a day and just sharpens up your skills on positioning and hazard perception / avoidance. Same knowledge as IAM, but without the jumped up little know-it-all on a GS in high viz and taking petrol money off you. Apologise if you are a "jumped up little know-it-all in hi-viz GS rider" who is an IAM member, but the IAM in D&G are a bunch of total dicks .
Ah that sounds a bit suspect doesn't it!! Not sure I'd keep chasing that one...are you going to try again or just wait now? Good luck Thursday!
Thanks. I'll leave this one now. I'll be riding past where I think the photos were taken tomorrow so unless I see it out and I'm left 'amazed' by it I won't contact the seller again. I keep looking online to see what's about but nothing new yet, plus I still haven't sold my 125cc so no rush.
Hey no worries! What's meant to be..... when I was looking for mine I found one fairly local, thought it was the one for me, took the rain to view it, he was meeting me at his local station, he never turned up, didn't answer his phone either. 2 days later Doris appeared on eBay, our destiny was written in the stars.
To be honest it's been a good thing nothing coming of this one. Before I was 'only' going to buy a black one, I wouldn't even look at others. Now I've actually looked at different colourered Thruccy's I've realised I like them too!
Hi Loser, if you get a chance have a look at Crispeys blue Thruccy - it's a minter and in blue looks just beautiful.
Yes I've been looking at his album pics, it does look very good I quite like the blue and the red Thruccy's now. Black is still my preference but if the right one comes up in another colour then I'll go for it. Sean.
Well Sean, Keep the faith, If you want it bad enough you will get it. I remember seeing a ZZR1100 when they first came out. i was going to get one but the price was too high for me. Then a friend of mine brought one and i was even more determined to get one. Like you i kept going to the bike shop to look at one. I got a call from a friend who said he found a used one with only 3000 miles on the clock in oxford at a very good price. A week later I owned her. So keep the faith and your dream will come true
