Washed and polished the Tiger yesterday Meeting up with Paul in 45 mins. Going hunting for bendy bits of road. See if the polishing makes it slip round a bit quicker.

hooked up the compter to the bike via "tuneecu" and got an error code after doing a couple of starts - error code - P1685 EMS main relay circuit malfunction ! Anyone know where this relay is located on an EFI Bonneville America 08/09 year model ? I've done 104,000 klms now and possibly time for new cam chain (get new cam cover gasket too as bit leaky).

Bike running fine except for starting issues related to this relay ???

    Cheers capt.

Major clean today on the Bonnie.
The FS365 has definitely helped preserve the bike through this winter and after a real good wash and polish all is looking well for a 5 year old bike.
Re-sprayed thoroughly with FS and then out for a quick blast to dry it all off.
I am now on my third litre of FS from Oct. 2016

Weather set fair today so I removed the plastic sheet (buying proper cover) disconnected the optimate and put in the key and turned her on and,,,,,,,,nothing not a f@@@@@g thing. So I am guessing the battery is f@@@@d, checked all connections all seemed good, I even put a spanner across the battery terminals and it sparked off. No idea what is wrong, no jump leads to jump start it so ordered new battery, any ideas folks?

silly suggestion but checked the kill switch, clutch safety switch isnt sticking? Battery may spark but still not have enough juice to start your bike, have you checked the voltage?

I used my bike everday last week 20 miles each way to work with no issues.
I had a little blast on Saturday to dry her off after cleaning.
Come this morning 'click' ignition lights on, headlamp on rear lamp on etc.
I had to bump start for the first time in ages, and as usual it started immediately.
I am definitely going to put a switch on the headlamp and a little button on the starter motor armature which i am told helps bypass this ridiculous situation.
My bike lives outside so it is not practical to have it hooked up to a trickle charger over night.
