Hi all, after a rather horrid last couple of months, relationship break up and subsequent loss of lovely
double garage the Bonnie is now out in the wet and cold, so can anyone please recommend a decent rain cover, I have trawled all the usual sites but would prefer to here from someone on here, many thanks in advance Mark.

I have the Oxford Rainex on my Tiger which is very good, durable, has soft interior so shouldnt scratch the tank, pockets for padlocks to keep them out of the crud. I have had it on the bike for over a year now, bought it from someone off this server so must be ober 2 years old and the only wear is on the clear plastic where the solar charger goes.

Large Rainex DeLuxe on my SE Bonnie, Tiger and Sprint 1050. Good fit to the ground on the Bonnie, just tucks under the discs on the other two.

Mine is meant to be large, fits nicely with top box and panniers. Some one posted earlier they had a street twin and a medium fitted fine, correction, mines a rainex deluxe!

    Found them all useless :(

Only thing I found decent was one of those framed fold over jobs, got a lot of U shaped frames and flips over the bike. More expensive than just a cover, but bike was not scratched or covered in condensation.

fwiw, I've never found condensation on mine, nor any scratches from the soft inside of the covers. I like the idea of a big cloche frame though, and keep meaning to look in to those. Presumably they can be weighted down.

I have been using a JDC top of the range Large cover for my Bonnie for the last 16 months.
Cost about £42 and got a free winter balaclava with it.
No problems at all, very good fit and soft lining so doesn't scratch the paintwork, heatproof lining for the silencers.
    Highly recommended.

Rawl bolted to the slabs. Got worried a couple of times it would fly away, but never moved an inch.

Got to agree with Mr O. on the flip over framed canopies.
I seriously looked into these and you can get them for just over £100 if you look carefully.
Only problem for me was I couldn't commit that area of the garden to a permanent bolted down unit and they do take up considerably more room than a cover.
I sort of park tucked in on an angle into a corner if that makes sense.
Better than a loose cover if you have the room in my opinion.

One of these, in case your wondering. Great things if you don't have a shed / garage.

Just an update really, I bought the Oxford Rainex and so far so good, the bonnie remains dry and I am happy, its a good fit and the elastic bottom keeps the cover on the bike, so after nearly 3 weeks I am happy to report all is good. It was a good deal too size L which is a perfect fit for the T100 £29.99 from J & S, once again thank you all for your advice

I got one of those from J&S a few months back as well. It fits the T120 a treat. I pack it if I'm on a trip and the bike is to be left out at night. I also use it at home in the garage - the roof leaks :)
