Yes, Jase. I ride relatively hard and get over 5k. On my last one that included a blip down to the Auvergne which took in a fair few motorway miles with no squaring off.

Just put some Pilot Road 3's. First impressions are very, very good, they feel a lot more 'planted' compared to the standard fit Met's and the turn in/cornering feels instinctive if that makes any sense.
I will update more as I pile on the miles.

Have you even got one on the front? They always looked a little dodgy to me!

I made a very conscious decision to take the pr2 over the pr3 and I am more than happy. They a bit closer to a sports tyre but with amazing all weather capabilities!
No offence but I felt the pr3s looked like they belong on a BMW GS not a speed triple :)

I thought that the guy with the tyre groover had gone crazy on them lol plus if I need that kind of water displacement I think I would rather park the bike and go for a beer :)

Ok just found this thread the last set of tyres I had on my 2011 Speed Triple were Z8's and they were brilliant in either wet or dry and lasted well also was scrubbing the elephant as well so you really get it over.

Usually got my tyres from Crossans in Northern Ireland as they always came up cheapest

    Cheers

Dunlop RoadSmarts have been good.. Get very warm, grip well all weathers.. Not sure I'm going to get 5K out of them though.. The seem to have squared off a bit but it's not so noticeable when ridding..
Wondering if I'll get another 1500 + out of them on the black Forrest trip......

SB my Pirelli corsa,s have squared off, only done 1200 miles :frown: will see what I can safely get out of them. Fancy p3s as they seem to give good mileage.

I got rid of the Corsas as i was going to tour on bike and it was pretty wet during March to June when i bought the bike.... they are great in the sun but shit in the wet.. i think i will also try the P3 next as well... not sure if to buy them now and swap frt & rear or save a few ££££ and just change the rear........

I'm on my 2nd pair of Sportsmarts on my 2011 Speedy, 1st pair lasted about 5k miles, including a 2 week trip to the south of France and back. The bike feels planted and turns into corners in a very measured way with plenty of feel and more grip than you'll ever use. Not the fastest turning front tire but confidence inspiring wet or dry. I've run mine right up to the edge both sides :). Just completed a 2nd trip to southern France on the new set, which have now clocked up about 2.5k miles with loads of tread left. Didn't square off on the autoroute either.
    Dunlop Sportmasters, definitely recommended
