Hi Mandy and welcome to the forum :grinning:
I am sure the bike will be fine, no experience of the Trident myself but I am sure someone can give you info.

Hey Mandy, and welcome! I have the TS660 and have the TSA installed (done at 600 mile service at dealer). Love it, and it works fantastic. I came from a Honda DCT that I rode in manual mode and just used the handlebar buttons to change up/down. Prior to that, only had a scooter. I've taken two of my kids through a safety course here in the US and that's the only time I rode a bike that had a clutch lever and gear shifter. Think I stalled the TS a dozen times at lights on my ride home!! Had it sorted within a day or two with only the occasional stall after that for the next week or two.

Got the TSA installed and on the ride home it only worked on one up change and one down change! The rest of the time I had to use the clutch lever! Almost turned around and went back to the dealer! Got home and looked online and others had had a similar experience and found that the first couple of rides after having it installed AND ENABLED IN THE MENU that the menu setting didn't actually hold/remember the setting after turning the bike off. Went out and checked my bike and sure enough the TSA wasn't enabled! Turned it back on and went for a ride - perfect. Got home turned it off and back on and it wasn't enabled again! Re-enabled it and turned off and back on and this time the setting had been remembered! It's been fine ever since.

I mainly use the clutch for 1>2, but the TSA for the rest of the ups, I also often use it on downshifting 4>3>2 and always 2>1. On upshifts it seems to work smoothest at the higher end of the rev range (so after the 1st service, LOL). And keep the throttle open while doing so.

Mandy. Welcome to the family. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right and show the inmates your bike. I have the 660 as well 9000 miles and as sweet as you like. Gears just slip through the range and you even feel that the bike performs in any gear. Joe
